American Craft Beer and Icelandic Craft Chocolate - Pairing
Mantra Artisan Ales and Omnom
24 February 2018
This week, Mantra Artisan Ales is in town for the 7th annual Icelandic Beer Festival all the way from Tennessee, USA.
They've brought some adventurous brewskies with them to celebrate the anniversary of the end of beer prohibition in Iceland!
In collaboration with Kex Hostel and Mantra Artisian Ales, we invite you to a curious night of pairing beer and chocolate (off-venue from Kexland Beer Festival Program):
What flavors are in chocolate?
Are they enhanced with beer?
What flavors are "allowed" in beer?
Does beer change chocolate, or vice versa?
What’s your favorite pairing?
This event is open to the public and will be hosted in English.
• If you already have tickets to the festival, reserve your seat on 50% off by sending us email to email@example.com
• Limited bookings available
• Price: ISK 4.900
Please note that gift cards are available at the Omnom Factory Store, Hólmaslóð 4, 101 Reykjavík.

Mantra Brewery: In early 2015, brewers Derrick Morse and Chad Frost set their sights on historic Franklin, Tennessee as the home of Mantra Artisan Ales. Derrick, out of Boulder, Colorado had been brewmaster of a local brewpub for the past few years, creating a complex array of intricate beers earning him the nickname of “mad scientist.” Chad returned to Franklin from a professional brewing program in Berlin, Germany. With the news that a local brewery would be vacating their facility to expand, Morse and Frost jumped the opportunity. Joining forces with chef Maneet Chauhan, the Mantra team set out to create premium, worldly-inspired artisan beers.
Kex is a social hostel housed in an old biscuit factory in downtown Reykjavik furnished with salvaged materials and found objects from various places.
